What We Require From Every Resident

To maintain a safe, stable, and respectful community, all residents must meet and commit to these requirements upon move-in.

Safety First — Drug & Violence Free

Strictly drug-free and violence-free environment. Zero tolerance for substance use or any violent behavior on the property. Any violation results in immediate removal.

Mental Stability

Residents must independently manage their own mental health care and prescribed medications and maintain a stable, safe shared environment.

Criminal Background Check

All applicants must consent to and pass a full criminal background check as part of the intake and approval process before any placement is confirmed.

Program Commitment

Residents must be ready and willing to commit fully to a structured living environment focused on personal accountability, independence, and long-term stability.

House Structure — Curfew & Meetings

10:00 PM curfew enforced nightly. Mandatory house meetings required. No overnight guests permitted at any time. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Financial Responsibility

Rent is due in full on the 1st of every month. Late fee applies after the 5th. Residents must maintain at least 20 hours per week of meaningful activity.

Our Community Standards

These standards protect every resident and maintain the safe, structured environment that makes Pillar of Hope Residence work.

I. Safety, Sobriety & Conduct (Zero-Tolerance)
  • Zero tolerance for illegal drugs, unauthorized medications, or alcohol — strictly prohibited on the property
  • No weapons, drug paraphernalia, or any items deemed illegal or hazardous by management
  • Physical, verbal, or emotional abuse, threats, or intimidation result in immediate termination of residency
  • All applicants must consent to and pass a criminal background investigation
II. Residence Accountability & Structure
  • Nightly curfew of 10:00 PM unless documentation of verifiable employment or school requires an exception
  • Residents must participate in required house meetings and check-ins with management
  • Entry into another resident's room or belongings without explicit permission is strictly prohibited
  • Quiet hours enforced between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM to respect the schedules of others
III. Financial & Tenancy Responsibility
  • Rent is due in full on the 1st of every month without exception; late fees applied after the 5th
  • Residents are financially responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Rent covers all utilities and common services; renters insurance is highly encouraged
IV. Commitment to Independence & Goals
  • All residents must engage in at least 20 hours/week of meaningful activity: work, volunteering, IOP, classes, or GED
  • Residents expected to complete assigned weekly chores — common areas are a shared responsibility
  • Monthly meeting with management to discuss progress and goals
  • Weekly "Safety and Cleanliness Walkthrough" — rooms must be kept tidy
V. Guest Policy & Safety
  • No overnight guests are allowed — visitors permitted in common areas during the day only with pre-approval
  • Residents agree to random drug or alcohol testing if there is concern about house safety
  • Residents must be mindful of noise and personal space
  • Bullying or taking items belonging to others is not allowed under any circumstances
Property & Cleanliness Standards
  • Personal space must be kept clean and organized at all times
  • Shared areas must be cleaned after every use — respect for the home is a shared value
  • No smoking anywhere inside the property
  • Report all damages or maintenance issues to management promptly
